In May 2003, Real Time Opera mounted its first production, a workshop performance of Act II of Korczak's Orphans, at Lebanon Opera House in New Hampshire. Part of Sample Works, New England - a festival of local arts organizations including Opera North and Classicopia - this production featured tenor Tracy Wise (Opera North, Chicago Opera Theater, Boston Opera Institute) as Janusz Korczak and the angelic voices of the Lyme Community Children's Chorus as the orphans in Korczak's care.
