PASTRAMI DAY: Pastrami Day was October 12, 2002, when an intrepid group of New Yorkers sampled their city's most renowned delicatessens. At each, they split a large meal between them of matzo ball soup, pickles, a pastrami sandwich, and an occasional knish or egg cream. The entire adventure lasted about six hours. <http://www.adambsilverman.com/features/pastramiday>

THE MINIMUM SECURITY CHEESESTEAK ADVENTURE: While members of the Minimum Security Composers Collective were in Philadelphia for concerts (less Dennis DeSantis, but with honored guest Hillary Zipper), we stopped at Gino's and Pat's to decide for ourselves which cheesesteak was the best in Philly.
